TrustVerifi Trust & Safety Guidelines

Entity: Skanda Projects Pty Ltd (trading as TrustVerifi)

1. Purpose

TrustVerifi's mission is to help individuals and businesses build authentic, verified reputations. To ensure the platform remains credible, secure, and safe for everyone, we have adopted these Trust & Safety Guidelines. These complement our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, Community Guidelines, and Dispute Policy.

2. Core Principles

  • Authenticity: All reviews and profiles must reflect genuine experiences and identities.
  • Transparency: Verified badges and Trust Scores are clearly explained and cannot be manipulated.
  • Fairness: Everyone has the right to leave honest feedback and contest unfair treatment.
  • Safety: No harassment, abuse, or exploitation is tolerated.
  • Compliance: All activity must comply with applicable laws and regulations.

3. Identity & Business Verification

  • Individuals: Must complete KYC verification (government ID + selfie) to unlock full features.
  • Businesses: Must complete KYB verification (e.g., ABN, corporate registry) to display Business Verified Badge.
  • Staff: Companies may verify staff members to strengthen organizational credibility.
  • Misrepresentation: Fake identities, impersonation, or forged documents will result in removal and potential legal action.

4. Identity Verification Data

When you complete identity (KYC) or business verification (KYB), we securely redirect your information to our verification provider ComplyCube. TrustVerifi does not store copies of your government ID, passport, business registration, or other sensitive documents. We only retain the verification status and metadata response provided by ComplyCube (e.g., "verified," "failed," "pending"). This ensures your most sensitive documents remain under the custody of a regulated verification provider and not stored on our servers.

5. Reviews & Testimonials

  • Verified Reviews: Reviews submitted via direct invitation links are marked as Verified.
  • Public Reviews: Reviews submitted without an invite are email-verified.
  • Video Reviews: Only permitted if participants consent and no harmful content is present.
  • Prohibited Content:
    • Fake, incentivized, or paid reviews without disclosure.
    • Hate speech, threats, harassment, or discriminatory language.
    • Personal data such as home addresses, financial details, or confidential information.
    • Spam, ads, or unrelated promotional content.
  • Moderation: Reviews pass through automated (Azure Content Safety + AI classification) and human checks.

6. Trust Scores & Badges

  • Dynamic Calculation: Trust Scores consider verification, number/quality of reviews, sentiment, and engagement.
  • Transparency: Tooltips and definitions clarify how scores and badges are earned.
  • Anti-Gaming: Any attempt to manipulate badges or Trust Scores (e.g., review rings, bots, duplicate accounts) is strictly prohibited.
  • Revocation: TrustVerifi may remove badges or reset scores if misuse is detected.

7. Content Moderation

  • Automated Filters: High-risk content (profanity, hate, sexual, violent) is auto-rejected.
  • AI Review: GPT-based classifiers flag personal data, ads, defamation, off-topic content, or conflicts of interest.
  • Appeals: Users may dispute moderation outcomes via the Dispute Policy.
  • Transparency: Disputed reviews may be labeled (e.g., "Under Dispute") until resolved.

8. Safety & Conduct Rules

  • Respectful Engagement: Users must treat each other with professionalism and respect.
  • No Harassment: Intimidating reviewers, retaliating against negative feedback, or mass-flagging to suppress valid reviews is prohibited.
  • No Exploitation: Using TrustVerifi to promote scams, illegal services, or exploitative behavior is forbidden.
  • Security Obligations: Users must not attempt to hack, disrupt, or bypass security measures.

9. Reporting Violations

  • In-Platform Tools: Users can flag reviews, profiles, or messages that appear harmful or misleading.
  • Direct Reporting: Abuse concerns can be sent to abuse@trustverifi.com.
  • Urgent Threats: If content involves threats of harm or illegal activity, TrustVerifi may escalate to relevant authorities.

10. Enforcement Actions

Violations of these Guidelines may result in:

  • Content removal or masking.
  • Review labels (e.g., "Policy Violation").
  • Temporary account suspension.
  • Permanent account ban for repeat or severe violations.
  • Adjustment of Trust Scores or badge removal.
  • Referral to law enforcement if illegal activity is involved.

11. Transparency & Accountability

  • Annual Reports: TrustVerifi publishes a Transparency Report detailing moderation statistics, disputes, and enforcement outcomes.
  • User Education: Tooltips, help articles, and onboarding guides explain how Trust & Safety measures work.
  • Continuous Improvement: We regularly update policies and AI models to adapt to new risks.
